Beasts of Chaos Standard Bearer
August 2003
The Beastmen, also known as the Children of Chaos or Gors, are a race of chaotic and bestial creatures in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. These savage beings are deeply intertwined with the forces of Chaos, embodying the wild and untamed aspects of nature corrupted by dark powers. Comprising various twisted amalgamations of human and animal features, the Beastmen are characterized by their brutish appearance and an insatiable desire for destruction.
Hailing from the dark and foreboding forests of the Warhammer world, the Beastmen are led by powerful and mutated leaders known as Beastlords and Bray-Shamans. Their society is organized into warherds, nomadic groups driven by an instinctual urge to raid and pillage settlements, spreading chaos in their wake. The Beastmen worship the Chaos Gods, particularly the dark and malevolent deity known as Khorne, the Blood God.
In battle, the Beastmen rely on their sheer brutality and savagery, employing a mix of powerful, heavily armored Minotaurs, swift and agile Centigors, and hordes of Gors and Ungors to overwhelm their enemies. Their unpredictable and chaotic nature makes them a formidable force on the battlefield, as they strike from the shadows, ambushing and terrorizing those who stand in their way. The Beastmen are a relentless force of chaos and an ever-present threat to the stability of the Warhammer world.
